Steven E. Malich, PE, CEM
Steve Malich has practiced professional engineering for over 40 years as an electrical engineer and engineering manager in the electric utility industry and with the federal Veterans Health Administration. He is president of a service disabled veteran owned small business electrical engineering consulting firm.
Over his career, he has acquired knowledge and experience in electrical power transmission, distribution, including revenue metering, planning, design, construction, operations and maintenance. His expertise extends to the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and the National Electrical Code (NEC), specifically system fault protection and public safety; accident investigation and prevention; property damage, personal injury, lightning and other perils affecting electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical equipment as it relates to forensic engineering and failure analysis.
Steve has served on the Electric Utility Metering & Services Committee of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), is a Senior member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers (IEEE), as well as a member of the Electrical Council of Florida where he has presented seminars on Arc Fault Analysis, Grounding, and NEC Code Changes.
Steve's broad qualifications include being a Florida Registered Professional Engineer (PE), a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and having had a Florida Registered Electrical Contractors license, a Florida Certified Solar Water Heating license. He also currently has a Federal Communications Commission General Radiotelephone Operator's license.
